Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@rainbowbridgevet.pet if you cannot find an answer to your question.

I usually need 24-48 hours notice to schedule an appointment although many days I have same day availability. (depends on if I am working a different job that day)

If your pet has an urgent need for euthanasia we will do our best to accomodate an appointment if our schedule allows. If your pet has labored breathing/respiratory distress, is bleeding internally, or is seizuring please take them to the closest emergency clinic.

Often times it can be incredibly difficult to know when it might be the right time to say goodbye. There are Quality of Life assessment tools online that are helpful. If you are really struggling we can schedule a virtual or in home quality of life consultation with Dr. Thomas to help guide you in making the kindest choice in the end of life care for your pet.

hopefully in the future

Messages are checked from 9am-6pm. We do not have services available 24 hours a day. If you find your pet iis n need of emergent care outside of our regular hours please contact your closest emergency animal hospital.

Yes, your pet will be given an injection of anesthesia and pain drugs under the skin. They will fall deep asleep in 5-15 minutes (depending on cat/dog. age, size and clinical condition). Once asleep we know they are not experiencing any discomfort, fear or anxiety. They will not be conscious for the last injection which offers them a peaceful passing in their sleep which is the final gift you can give your beloved pet.

I use Square to create invoices and can accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, debit cards.

I can also take payments via Venmo, Zelle, Paypal

I also accept checks and cash.

It typically takes 1-2 weeks for the urns to be ready and I will contact you to arrange a good day/time to bring your pet home.

All private cremations come with a clay pawprint, ink pawprints and fur clipping. If you are burying your pet or not getting remains returned and would like a pawprint please let me know.
